Wealthy Habits Camps

Are you looking for a program that is both fun and educational? Wealthy Habits has summer camps for kids, teens and college students ages 11 and up that both you and your student will love.

Our 5-day MONEY BASICS summer camp aims to provide students with a strong foundation of all things “money” while the ADD-ON camps are subject focused for a greater understanding of the topic. Through a series of games, stimulating discussions and group projects, all of the Wealthy Habits camps create a lasting impact on the students’ thoughts and beliefs about money.

Wealthy Habits educational summer camps don’t focus on whether a student can memorize the information and pass a test, but on changing their attitude towards managing their current and future finances while providing them with the ambition to learn more even after they have left camp. Feedback from parents and students have shown that these programs do make a difference. Participation to-date (since 2012) is as follows: 618 students have participated in the summer camp and 2440 students have participated in the 1 or 2-day program.

Special Offer!

To ensure everyone has an opportunity to benefit from our programs we are offering 50% off a Money Basics session. Using the discount code MFF50 at checkout will give your student a great half-day, week-long program for only $60.

Even better, if you would like your student to participate for a full day the discount code will allow a full day of camp for only $180. There are few camps that provide a better value. Kids walk away with a smile on their faces and parents walk away relieved they found someone that their student will listen to about saving and planning for the future.

Money Basics

The Wealthy Habits’ MONEY BASICS camp is a unique curriculum that teaches ages 11 and up the importance of making smart money choices using engaging activities and group competition. This week-long half-day camp provides students with a great informational foundation of related topics ranging from earning money and budgeting to saving and investing. Competitive activities like musical chairs help students relate to complicated subjects like supply & demand while group projects require students to think about being in situations like household budgeting and credit card usage. Beginning with paying taxes from earned income to budgeting what’s left, the curriculum is centered around engaging activities that promote curiosity. Introducing topics like investing grabs students’ attention while adding the Rule of 72 and compound interest makes it relevant to students now.

*To participate in any of the ADD-ON CAMPS below, the MONEY BASICS camp must be taken prior to or concurrently.

Supplemental Specialty Camp Options

The following SPECIALTY camps are scheduled as afternoon sessions and are for ages 13 and up. Repetition is always beneficial, but if your student has participated in a camp in the previous year, they are not required to enroll in the Money Basics before registering for the camps listed below. To register for any of the supplemental specialty camps, see the information on the SCHEDULE PAGE.

Camp Wall Street

Calling all future investors! CAMP WALL STREET introduces students to the world of the stock market. Through various games and activities, students learn the ins and outs of acquiring assets and managing risk. Topics include investment strategies, opening a brokerage account, analyzing companies, and making trades.

CAMP WALL STREET is a curriculum focused on learning from the history of the stock market and from successful investors that focus on long-term gains not “get rich quick schemes.” Filled with hands-on activities, students will learn the ins and outs of investing.

Understanding financial investments can be a bear– we will give your student a head start to run with the bulls!

Move Out & Stay Out

The MOVE OUT & STAY OUT camp is 5-days of eye-opening simulations designed to help students understand what it means to be financially independent! Society is becoming increasingly dependent on credit, the Move Out and Stay Out curriculum focuses on building good credit in order to achieve future goals. Students will go through the motions of purchasing a car and renting an apartment to give them a better understanding of the process. In addition to the financial aspects of becoming independent, the Move Out and Stay Out program will advise students about career development topics, in which they will build a resume and practice their interview skills. Role-playing situations such as traffic stops and car accidents prepare students for life’s unexpected surprises. Your student will learn how to achieve financial autonomy through a series of games and activities.

Think Tank to Shark Tank

This 5-day afternoon summer program was created with your budding entrepreneur in mind! THINK TANK TO SHARK TANK teaches students what it takes to turn an idea into a profitable business!
