LIFE-CHANGING PROGRAMS

Focusing on giving individuals not only the “how” but more importantly the “why” of financial literacy, these programs change the mind-set and ultimately the future choices of its attendees. Continuous feedback explains a new-found desire to open savings and investment accounts. Students are even questioning parents more about their family’s financial decisions after participation in a Wealthy Habits program.

 Increasing Impact

From the beginning, Wealthy Habits programs were geared towards making the educational experience fun but our target audience was ages 11-18. Focusing on the younger population allowed us to get an honest view of how others view money and the decision they make around it. Kids, while not always happy about it, were signed up for our financial literacy camps by their parents. Kids typically come in with an open-mind and little financial mind-set baggage. They only know what they have heard and hold little back about what that is. Because of this, we have gained the knowledge on what it truly takes to make a difference in the majority of the population.

When it came to developing programs for adults in 2021 & 2022, some of the concepts require more detail, but just like the kids they need to enjoy learning in order for it to stick with them in the long-term. Financial mind-set baggage is a concern with most, but our goal is to show our learners that in order to change their situation, they must change the way the approach their choices.
