Wealthy Habits began offering camps at Emory University during the summer of 2016. It was a great opportunity for students to see a great college campus.

Emory University is a top-ranked private university recognized for its outstanding liberal arts college, graduate and professional schools, and one of the world’s leading healthcare systems. Emory University is located on a beautiful campus in Georgia’s historic Druid Hills neighborhood.

Student drop-off and pick-up is in the roundabout at the end of Dooley Drive;  camp will be held upstairs in the SAAC building. A Wealthy Habits instructor or student volunteer will be waiting at the roundabout to check your student in until 9am. If you arrive late, you will need to bring your student to the SAAC building. See map below.

The 5-day program pioneered by Wealthy Habits aims to provide students with a thorough understanding of money management, budgeting and saving. Through a series of high-energy games, stimulating discussions and group projects, the program creates a lasting impact on the students’ thoughts and beliefs about money, as well as encourages them to work towards a financially secure life.

The average college student graduates with over $19,000 in student debt, and more than $3,500 in credit card debt. A working understanding of money, managing debt, and investing is essential for everyone, including young adults. In the absence of that, many individuals fumble over financial decisions, learning by trial and error, often ending up with bad credit, little or no savings, and a ton of debt.

Students who participate in Wealthy Habits are exposed to new ways of thinking about money and finance. They develop a mature understanding of budgeting and investing, and also learn about the importance of planning for the future. Wealthy Habits provides students with the right skill set so that they can navigate their financial future with confidence and purpose.

My daughter and her friend really enjoyed the program!
Teens don’t get excited about much, but they were smiling

Thank you so much for this opportunity.
