Getting Your Child Ready for the 2021-2022 School Year

The pandemic has certainly taken a toll on all of us, but our children’s education may have been the most affected by the upheaval of the last 14 months. Let’s face it, the US public education system has never been perfect. There has always been an Achievement Gap, and unfortunately that gap has gotten wider.

Some parents believe education starts at home and make it a top priority. These families, although frustrated with technology and limitations, have managed to keep their children on a forward-moving educational tract. But has it been enough? Combine that with the typical summer learning loss, or “summer slide,” many parents are worried that our children aren’t ready for things to pick up where they should be (not where they left off)?

Yes, summer camps should be fun, but this isn’t the summer to focus on swimming and camping or even sports camps. This summer needs to be the year to focus on camps that help prepare your child for the 2021-2022 school year.

Academically focused summer camps combine the fun with the learning. This will be a huge advantage to your child as they return to school next year. So, while sports and art camps are fun, this summer look for those educational programs that will spark your child’s interest in learning.

Whether in-person or online, Wealthy Habits’ camps and classes are equally interactive. Our instructors use fun activities to cover subjects such as investing, budgeting and financial management and encourage kids to come out of their shells. Wealthy Habits’ Atlanta-area in-person summer camps can help keep students engaged in learning over the summer, which means they’ll be better prepared to return to school in the fall.

We can’t wait until normal comes back, but until then, Wealthy Habits is ready to help your children stay engaged with learning. Sign up for one of our summer camps today to get your children ready for fall.
