Internships for 2024 will be 11 full weeks with one week off (5/20/2024-8/2/2024)

Interns are paid for teaching and mentoring students and are expected to complete an innovative business project. 

Job Summary:

  • Undergo a comprehensive training with your peers during week 1 of the 11 weeks. 
  • Create strategic business plans for organizational growth during 2-3 of the 11 weeks. Some of the planned projects are:
    • Course/Curriculum development
    • Business proposal for future organizational growth
    • Program management process proposal
    • Problem and solution proposal for improvement
    • Implementation of select projects to be assigned as necessary
  • Co-facilitate financial literacy curriculum with a peer intern to students during 7 of the 11 weeks
    • Training and instructional materials are provided with plenty of autonomy in the delivery of the curriculum. 
    • Hours are from 8:30am – 4:30pm and 9:30am – 6:00pm typically

Applicant Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, or other business-related fields or have a solid knowledge of personal finance and investing
  • Have a GPA of at least a 3.2
  • Pass a complete background check (with NO infractions)
  • Ability to travel to various program locations in the Metro-Atlanta area as necessary
  • Ability to work on location at our Dunwoody offices for virtual programs
  • Excited to give back to the community while open to self-improvement

Internships for 2024 will be 11 and a half full weeks (5/16/2024-8/2/2024).

We are looking to provide a great internship opportunity to TWO students majoring in marketing, film or photography related field. This is ideal for someone who is organized, fun and creative and wants to make their ideas a reality. In this role, you will have the creative freedom to bring new ideas to the table while establishing foundational media practices and professional growth. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Photograph & Video interns, students and programs (requires some travel to metro-Atlanta area locations)
  • Develop ideas and storyboards for promotional marketing videos
  • Work independently to shoot, edit, and fulfill photo and video projects 
  • Manage social media accounts and create content for marketing channels
  • Assist with business advertisements (Google Ads and Meta Business Suite)
  • Summer memory book & infographic creation
  • Create weekly newsletters

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, digital media, film or photography, video production or related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Photo editing and video production (Final Cut Pro)
  • A creative go-getter with the ability to deliver high-quality work products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to absorb and respond to creative feedback
  • Motivated team player with strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills

 

Location: Remote

Duration/Hours: Part-time (10-15 hours/week) Dates are flexible, starting in either Mid-May or Mid-June

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research funding opportunities from various foundations, corporations, and government agencies that align with our organization’s mission and programs.
  • Provide support and receive mentorship as pertains to the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to federal, state, local and private foundation funding sources
  • Create a calendar of submissions and other deadlines to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines, and reports
  • Create a task list/calendar to ensure compliance with all grant requirements
  • Assist in the management of supplemental material required for proposals
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with related policies
  • Conduct thorough research to gather relevant data, statistics, and supporting materials for grant applications
  • Assist creative media intern in preparing compelling narratives and compelling program descriptions that effectively communicate the organization’s objectives and initiatives to potential funders
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas and insights for enhancing grant proposals

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a related field (e.g., communications, nonprofit management, public relations, English, or a related discipline)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to effectively convey ideas and information
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A go-getter with the ability to deliver high-quality work product
  • Motivated team player with strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2
